2014-04 Briarcliffe in Myrtle Beach, SC

Our next stop heading north from Cumberland Island / St Mary's, GA was a 5 hour drive to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The park for our stay, Briarcliffe, was a great location and spectacular deal at $10/nt with Coast to Coast (normal price is $60/nt). They have a big pool on the waterway, huge clubhouse / game rooms, shuffleboard, miniature golf, and best of all, connecting walkway to Barefoot Landing for evening strolls along the water, window shopping (oodles of touristy shops including one completely devoted to the color purple!), and watching the tigers from Preservation Station.

We did some side trips in the area, including a morning in Little River, SC and south to Hungtington Beach State Park. All in all, this was a great place to stay and a wonderful area to explore. Would be happy to spend a few months in the area if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Sites are level with concrete pad and patio

Big nice pool on the waterfront but unfortunately not open so early in the season

Intracoastal waterway
There are many seasonals (snowbirds, etc.) in the park and nicely kept mobile homes

Shops, bars, restaurants next door at Barefoot Landing

A cute little pirate shop in Little River

The pirate store wasn't open but we enjoyed the stuff in their parking lot
