Capitol Reef is vast and varied scenery all the way down to Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell. This scenic road follows the "waterpocket fold" - the largest monocline in North America.
From desert to lush green valleys, down into the deep gorges which lead into Lake Powell and eventually to the Grand Canyon.
Then coming back north on the 95 and entering Capitol Reef from the east - Hanksville, is a fascinating gray landscape which seems in places like the surface of the moon. It was a great drive!
