We knew we would not have time to drive the entire Blue Ridge Parkway (35 mph slow and scenic), so we reserved nice Coast-to-Coast parks ($10 per night - yeah!) which are nearby, allowing us to unhook the rig and take the truck on select portions of the scenic drive.
We made our way from Shenandoah, VA to Lenoir, NC expediantly via Interstate 84, parellelling about 300 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway; skies looked stormy but no rain.
