After a sad farewell to little Leaf (still very sad, but someone had put flea powder on her, so we believe she had a home)....we headed south together with the Gillespies to spend 3 nights in St Augustine. Along the way, Gary and I stopped at one of the many "peanut plantation" shops and bought a big bag of Georgia peanuts (which I guess is a thing to do here!).
We overnighted in a Walmart parking lot (good chance to stock up on stuff), then continued on into Florida to
Anastasia State Park the next day.
What a great state park - fantastic private sites, white sandy beach, nature trails, and a short bike ride into historic St Augustine.

Goodbye to Leaf who had certainly made herself at home - I hope someone is caring for her |

gotta buy peanuts before we leave Georgia |

Large private sites, and an added bonus: you can hear the concerts at St Augustine Amphitheatre |
After we got situated, I took a little walk around the state park, down to the beach and campstore, checked out the nature trail...great place to camp! Wish there'd been some good concerts at the big
Amphitheatre while we were there - can you believe there were no concerts scheduled over halloween weekend?!
