2011 - March in Florida

We stayed at a variety of places in Florida, from a Thousand Trails RV resort (in a rental cabin, which was our "free week" as part of our membership), to a couple of timeshares to use our annual points, plus a cheap motel on the "space coast".
Our cute little cabin at Thousand Trails Orlando - it was hot and humid (heat wave in March) so we did our outings very early in the morning

Gary on our first afternoon in Florida - straight into the hot tub!

A resident Gopher Tortoise at Thousand Trails, who lived under the next door cabin, which ironically was named "Tortoise" cabin. Made me wonder what might be found under the "Alligator" cabin.

The big lake at Thousand Trails Orlando

The Sandhill Cranes were in abundance

These two Sandhill Cranes walked right up to me with their babe

Our neighbor tortoise - really didn't expect to see this type of critter in Florida!

Fantastic and peaceful sunrise over the lake at Thousand Trails

I think they're serious about not swimming in the lake; neighbor on the other side saw a huge alligator rush out of the lake and try to take a cow down!

Really enjoyed Polynesian Isles Resort where we stayed for a few nights - very  nice place!
The volcano pool at Cypress Point Grand Villas in Orlando, where we stayed for a couple days

One of several quiet and inviting hot tubs at Polynesion Isles in Orlando.
