wildlife fencing along hwy 70, includes passways for wayward wildlife to escape the fencing

Glenwood Canyon is a spectacular sight, with a bike path down below the highway next to the river - would have been a fun ride but we were staying 40+ miles away in Aspen, so never would get down here for this ride...

We passed by Glenwood Hot Springs - the big swimming pool-syle - very crowded - didn't appeal to us, so we skipped this one.  The town of Glenwood Springs, passing through downtown:

Landing in Aspen, the airplanes look like they're landing on the highway!

Our first evening after setting up in the Difficult Campground, checked out the Aspen downtown area - very expensive shopping! Pretty area and nice for strolling though....
bear made of nails!

Gary found a new favorite rib place which was surprising (for Aspen!)....the cheapest whole rack we've ever seen - $11.75 for lunch with sides on their Tuesday and Thursday lunch special.....excellent ribs!
John Denver Sanctuary in Aspen - a beautiful rock garden on the river with his songs engraved on the rocks...
