After leaving Jordan Pond, we stopped in again at Asticou which was on our way, to check out the terraces. The
Asticou Terraces are around the corner from the garden, with amazing stone walls and stairways, terrraced up the hillside on the west side of Elliot Mountain. We parked at Asticou Garden, strolled through the garden, then past the Asticou Inn and around the corner to the entrance to the terraces. The walk leads to spectacular views over Northeast Harbor. There are multiple stone and wooden structures with benches from which you can sit and enjoy the view. We walked up and back down the 1/4 mile terrace trail but have not yet explored Thuya Gardens at the top - for another day!
