2014-07-01 Our second bike excursion, Jordan Bubble Pond loop

Another Tuesday off and nice weather in store for us! We decided to do another carriage road ride, the Jordan-Bubble Pond Loop. Starting at Bubble Pond parking lot, to the south end of Eagle Lake, around the west side of Jordan Pond, past Wildwood Stables and returning to Bubble Pond - it is about 8.6 miles. Martha Stewart mentions this loop on her blog, but she rode it on horseback. Didn't run into Martha, but we did meet a very nice couple from Vancouver BC.

This was slightly longer than the loop around Eagle Lake, but a lot more scenic. We took our time, and made a positive determination after this - our second ride using the Walmart bike - that the bike was a heavy, monstrous tank and needed to go back. We have since returned the tank to Walmart, and are now back to having only one bike. Our REI Marin bike we bought second hand in the keys is still going strong for the $100 investment.
