Our shift started at 1pm, and the morning was absolutely perfect for kayaking with all requirements coming into alignment - calm waters, warm weather, high tide. It was beautiful. We paddled over to Alley Island across the bay, walked around the island, paddled around the bay a bit more. Because the water was so calm, it was easy to spot the harbor seals popping up occasionally. Very special place.
