We headed out early on a dreary morning, from Bar Harbor, Maine to Sturbridge, Massachussetts. There was lots of fall color, and also lots of traffic.

We made it to our Thousand Trails park in Sturbridge with only a couple of scary incidents. We had reserved only one night there as a stopover - but watching the weather, we realized the next day would be horrendous on the road - heavy downpours through major downtown areas and heavy traffic - very hazardous and they were warning people to stay off the highways. So we extended one extra night in Sturbridge and waited out the pouring driving rain. It was a nice little park with a trail around the lake and marsh area. a nice clubhouse, indoor pool and hot tub. Along the trail, the pines were interspersed with brilliant gold and red.
